Did you know 99% of the world’s population breathes poor-quality air?
This year celebrates the 5th year of running the Clean Air Day Campaign. The Clean Air Day Campaign focuses on highlighting the global impact of air pollution and what we can try to do to combat it.
At Real Cleaning, environmental health is important to us, that’s why we are committed to ensuring that our services have minimal negative impacts on the environment.
Here’s what we do to help support Clean Air Day.
What is air pollution?
Firstly, let’s explain what we mean by air pollution. Air pollution is when someone uses a chemical, physical or biological agent that modifies the natural characteristics of the atmosphere, either indoor or outdoor.
How do we contribute to Clean Air Day?
To help minimise the environmental impact of our cleaning services, we offer chemical-free cleaning methods such as DOFF steam cleaning and the TORC system cleaning.
DOFF steam cleaning:
DOFF steam cleaning is a cleaning system that achieves temperatures up to 150 Celsius. It is a boiling water system. The operator can change the temperature and pressure to remove many different things, making it suitable for many jobs. It is very gentle and mainly used for stonework, as we don’t use harsh chemicals that would not contribute to air pollution with this method.
The TORC system is a gentle cleaning method for our clients. The TORC system uses water, low air pressure and fine calcium carbonate in a gentle swirling vortex to clean many premises without damaging the building or adding air pollution. This means it is perfect for stone buildings or heritage sites without causing the building and structure any damage and harm to wildlife.
In celebration of Clean Air Day, we thought we would highlight the DOFF steam cleaning and TORC system as we are proud to use these cleaning methods that do not damage the environment or add to air pollution.
